Another Day at the Colonnades

posted Aug 30, 2011, 5:00 PM by Fay Watson
We have survived yet another week at the Colonnades.  The Rehabilitation staff is excellent!  David is really likes the therapists and has built a good rapport with them.  He is really a special person, I am lucky to have him in my life still.  Time is indeed the cure, time and hard work.  He says it is very difficult to do the simple things like walking and talking. Controlling muscles that in the past were controlled with no real thought.  That is what makes it harder.  All the movement that the tongue does to make sounds, who knew that took so much coordination?
The boys are busy with school. Jon started work at Tropical Chill after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Drop in and see him until 7PM!  IT is on SH35 adjacent to Kozas on the side closest to McCoys Lumber.  Zachary is a "fake" trumpet in the Pride of Pearland Marching Band.  He is taking a lot of PRe-AP classes.  It is keeping him deep in homework!
Dennis came by and visited yesterday, and Kayla just left us!  Always good to see our friends!
